The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the United Arab Emirates News Agency (WAM) signed a partnership agreement here on Thursday. The agreement was signed by the two news agencies' heads, BTA's Kiril Valchev and WAM's Mohamed Jalal Alrayssi.

The two media organizations agree to exchange information on a daily basis and to publish stories from the partner's news flow.

"We are building on our relations, which began with a memorandum in 2019. Now we are specifying the scope of our cooperation by exchanging news in English on a daily basis and publishing them on our broadcast channels for free access," said BTA Director General Valchev, who is part of an official delegation led by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to the UAE.

BTA's and WAM’s mutual cooperation also envisages the organization of training programmes for each agency, both for journalists and technical staff.

This is BTA’s 16th partnership agreement in the past year, Valchev added.
