site.btaParliamentary Committee for Security Services Control Fails Meeting Due to Lack of Quorum
The Tuesday meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for of the Security Services, the Application and use of the Special Intelligence Means and the Data Access under the Electronic Communications Act failed due to lack of quorum.
The MPs had to hear State Agency for National Security (SANS) chairman Plamen Tonchev, National Service for Protection (NSP) head Emil Tonev, and the deputy Justice Minister on the case with the security of former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov.
The agenda also included a decision on the case of journalist Hristo Grozev.
Out of all committee members only Boyko Rashkov, chairman of the committee, Petar Petrov (Continue the Change) and Atanas Atanasov (Democratic Bulgaria) were present at Tuesday's meeting.
