Students from the G. Dimitrov primary school organized a charity event in Bosilegrad’s culture and recreation centre on New Year's Eve.

The town and eponymous municipality are populated by a majority of ethnic Bulgarians and, along with the nearby Dimitrovgrad, are an economic and cultural centre of Serbia's ethnic Bulgarian community.

The children organized a party and a concert, where they recited poems, sang songs and danced. All attendees also had the chance to join a charity Christmas market, where a special ceramics exhibition was staged by the students. The collected funds will be donated to the local branch of the Red Cross to support disadvantaged children and youth.

The school’s principal, Snezhana Apostolov, thanked all participants and wished them happy holidays, health and success in the new year.
