Bulgarian rhythmic gymnasts Boryana Kaleyn and Stiliana Nikolova won gold and silver respectively at the 2022 FIG World Cup series all-around competition Saturday in Pamplona. The two athletes will also compete in Sunday’s four individual apparatus events.

Kaleyn’s final overall score was 128.700, after she recorded 33.450 in hoop (the highest mark in all of the competition events so far), 32.700 in ball, 31.350 in clubs, and 31.200 in ribbon. While her performance was close to flawless, it was her artistry that won the judges over.

Stiliana Nikolova finished second with a score of 126.450 (30.650 in hoop, 31.950 in ball, 32.450 in clubs, and 31.400 in ribbon). She successfully closed the gap from Friday, when her temporary score had her in 4th place.

Slovenian Ekaterina Vedeneeva won the bronze with a score of 124.250.

Later on Saturday, the athletes will compete in the ribbons and balls group event in which Bulgaria is holding fourth place after Friday’s five-hoop competition.
