The eleventh edition of the traditional show-jumping competition for the Burgas Cup will be held in the Lake Park in the seaside city of Burgas in August 6 through to 13. This is the only outdoor equestrian event in Bulgaria that has night-time show-jumping. It is also the tournament with the longest duration - eight days, which is longer than national tournaments, Balkan competitions and FEI World Cup events which normally last no more than a couple of days.

More than 80 riders and 130 horses from across the country have been signed up to take part in this year's edition of the event, the organizers said. The traditional tournament is organized by the Burgas City Hall, the Bulgarian Equestrian Federation, and the Burgas-based Khan Kroum equestrian centre.

The event's crowning competitions that will determine the winner of the Burgas Cup Grand Prix will be on August 12 and 13. A special Jump&Drive course where riders and drivers take part in a relay race with horses and cars will take place just before the last decisive competition for the Burgas Cup. Half of the riders who have signed up to take part in this competition are children of the drivers of the cars who will take part in the second phase of the race.

Admission to all competitions in the event is free.
