BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) President Plamen Dimitrov signed a partnership agreement at BTA's National Press Club here on Tuesday.

"We accepted to become partners on the eve of CITUB's regular Congress, which is to take place in ten days in Sofia," Valchev said. He explained that BTA is specifically interested in starting to receive the trade union's research works in an orderly fashion, adding that this would allow the news agency to further develop its Economy section, which will benefit all Bulgaria media.

Plamen Dimitrov said that CITUB is honoured to become BTA's partner, as the latter is the oldest institution in Bulgaria working with information. "This is of exceptional importance for us, so that everyone who wishes to find the real news can have this opportunity with our help," Dimitrov said, adding that CITUB generates dozens of news daily, which is part of a trade union organization's work.
