site.btaAHK Poll: 74% of Employers Dissatisfied with Price of Electricity

Seventy-four per cent of employers are dissatisfied with the price of electricity in Bulgaria, according to the findings of a poll of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK).

Again business are most dissatisfied with the efforts against corruption and crime. Seventy-seven per cent of respondents say that they are very dissatisfied, and more efforts should be made.

The poll among AHK members has been held since 2005.

In 2022, 38 AHK members took part in a poll which took place between March 31 and April 2022 in 16 Central and Eastern European countries.

Forty-two per cent of polled business expect that the Bulgarian economy will worsen in 2022.

Trust in the public administration fell to 11 per cent from 15 per cent in 2021.

The AHK has established that the business expects decisive actions in connection with the price of electricity, the shortage of qualified labour, the quality of education, improving the predictability of economic policies and countering corruption.

In 2021, Bulgarian exports to Germany totalled 5,266.98 million euro and German exports stood at 4,534.13 million euro.
