site.btaA1 Announces Completion of Takeover of Stemo

A1 Bulgaria, part of A1 Group, announced Wednesday that it has officially completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of one of the largest Bulgarian system integrators, Stemo. The deal was announced at the end of May and is part of A1's long-term development strategy in the ICT and business services sector, the company said.

The acquisition is also to be registered in the Commercial Register, having received approval from the Commission for Competition Protection in early July.

The two companies will continue to work separately to achieve a common goal - the digitalization of the country's businesses.

The deal will see collaboration between the two companies' teams in the areas of systems integration, network solutions, cyber security and protection services and software deployment. The common goal of A1 and Stemo is to achieve better results through synergy by offering more and more complex and high-quality services to business customers.

A1 says that over the past few years, it has been following a strategy aimed at diversifying its revenues beyond traditional telecommunications services. It has been offering services in the areas of systems integration, Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service and cyber security solutions for several years. The company has two own data centers in the country and the only nationwide Internet of Things (IoT) network that uses the Narrowband-IoT technology standard.
