The Pamporovo ski resort in southern Bulgaria is seeing an increase in early bookings, both by local and international tourists, the resort's CEO, Marian Belyakov, told BTA Wednesday. He commented that the heightened interest among tour operators and individuals disproves the expectations that, against the backdrop of soaring inflation, everybody would wait with their vacation plans until the last moment.

Pamporovo also reports a strong increase in interest among tour operators for bookings for the winter season. Hotel owners believe that the growth in early bookings is due to their decision not to raise prices and keep them close to last year's level.

On September 22, the resort starts selling ski passes for the new season. They will be at last year's prices and will be up for sale until November 20 on the resort's official internet page. The resort management believes that the early sale is an opportunity for financial predictability in a difficult economic conditions and high inflation.

The majority of clients are Bulgarians, as well as vacationers from the neighbouring countries, the UK and Ireland.
