In December 2022, the monthly inflation rate, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.9% and the annual inflation rate was 16.9%, the National Statistical Institute said on Monday. Likewise, in November 2022, the annual inflation rate was 16.9%.

The annual average inflation rate for the January-December period of 2022 was 15.3%.

In December 2022, compared to the previous month, the highest price increases were registered for recreation and culture (+8.5%), health (+2.2%), miscellaneous goods and services (+1.6%), and restaurants and hotels (+1.4%). A decrease was recorded in the prices of transport (-2.3%) and clothing and footwear (-1.2%).

In December 2022, the monthly inflation rate, measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), was 0.8%, and the annual inflation rate was 14.3%.

The annual average inflation rate for January-December 2022 measured by HICP was 13.0%.
