site.btaMediana Poll: 8 Parties in Next Parliament

Eight parties would enter parliament if the elections were held today, according to a nationally representative poll by the Mediana agency. The poll, implemented with the agency's own funds, was carried out between August 30 and September 4 among 1,008 adult citizens through face-to-face interviews.

GERB-UDF would get 22.8% of the respondents’ vote and 17.1% would vote for Continue the Change. Support for BSP for Bulgaria is 13.3%, for Vazrazhdane - 12.5%, and in the fifth position is the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) with 11.1%. There Is Such a People (TISP) receives the votes of 6.9% of the people who participated in the survey, and Democratic Bulgaria (DB) and Bulgarian Rise - 5.5%. Rise Up Bulgaria remains below the 4 % barrier with 3.4 % support.

Nearly 52% of respondents said that President Rumen Radev is a good politician. Around 25% considered GERB leader Boyko Borissov a good politician. Respondents ranked Bulgarian Rise leader Stefan Yanev third with 22% approval, followed by BSP leader Kornelia Ninova with 20%. The CC co-chairman Kiril Petkov and the chairman of Stand Up Bulgaria, Maya Manolova, are considered good politicians by 17% of people, and the other CC co-chairman, Asen Vassilev, by 15%. MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi, Democratic Bulgaria co-chairman Hristo Ivanov and Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov received 14% approval. TISP leader Slavi Trifonov, is considered a good politician by 13 % of the people polled, VMRO leader, Krasimir Karakachanov, by 10%, and DB co-chairman, Atanas Atanasov, by 8%.

Over 67% of people said that their family's financial situation had worsened in the past year, while 7% said that it was "better now"; 26% of respondents said there was no difference.

29% of respondents expected their financial situation to worsen in the next 12 months. Over 31% of people said that it “will get a little worse". Around 12% expected no change and 7% believed their financial situation will improve in the following year. Over 9% said they have fear of falling into extreme poverty".

When asked about their expectations of the political situation in the country, 72% answered with "deterioration", 4% "improvement", and 21% "maintaining this situation". The rest did not express an opinion.

About 40% of respondents think they will have to save on heating and food in the coming months. Nearly 6% did not think they would need to save on food and heating. The rest expressed no opinion.

About 64% of the people polled are of the opinion that Bulgaria should buy gas from Russia if they sell to us cheaper than other suppliers, 14% think we should not buy gas from Russia even if it is cheaper, and 22% could not decide.
