"Our activity is trade diplomacy. Looking at the two countries, Bulgaria is not only a neighbouring country for Turkey, it is also an important trade partner, Mustafa Zeki Saribekir - Chairman of the Turkish-Bulgarian Business Council, said in Istanbul Thursday. He was speaking at the International Business and Investment Forum, which presents opportunities for expanding the business of Turkish companies in Bulgaria. 

"Some 350 participants are here. At least two companies a week call me to ask how we can make investments in Bulgaria, said Saribekir, who is also doing business in Bulgaria in the automotive, engineering, healthcare and tourism sectors.

Regarding tourism, he said 2.5 million tourists from Bulgaria have visited Turkey and the tourist flow from Bulgaria should increase.

This is among the areas that contribute to improving relations between the two countries, the Turkish businessman pointed out and invited Turkish investors to develop their business in Bulgaria. 

Sarabekir noted that although Turkey is not part of the EU, it is considered part of Europe and the logistics from Bulgaria are very good.
