site.btaMarket Links/bTV Poll: Six Parties on Course to Enter Parliament
Six parties could enter the 48th National Assembly, according to a Market Links nationally representative survey published on Tuesday.
The survey was financed and conducted jointly by bTV and Market Links among 1,024 persons aged 18 or over between September 17 and 23. The methods used were a direct personal interview and an online poll. The findings are not a prediction as they reflect voter attitudes more than 10 days before the October 2 snap elections.
GERB-UDF is supported by 23.7% of the people who say they will vote, followed by Continue the Change with 16.9% support. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) is third with 12.3%, followed by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 9.9%, Vazrazhdane with 8.7%, and Democratic Bulgaria with 7.8%.
Below the 4% electoral threshold are There is Such a People (TISP), backed by 3.9% of the people who say they will vote, Bulgarian Rise with 2.6% and Rise Up Bulgaria with 2.5%.
Voter turnout will be around 40%.
Market Links concluded that the next parliament will be fragmented due to the number of parties represented in it and the deep partisan divides.
The respondents' approval of President Rumen Radev is highest at 47%. GERB leader Boyko Borissov is second with 24% approval and Continue the Change co-leader Kiril Petkov is third with 19%. Further down the list are Bulgarian Rise leader Stefan Yanev with 18%, Rise Up Bulgaria leader Maya Manolova 17%, Continue the Change co-leader Assen Vassilev 16%, BSP leader Korneliya Ninova 16%, Democratic Bulgaria co-leader Hristo Ivanov 15%, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov 14%, MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi 11% and TISP leader Slavi Trifonov 10%.
