site.btaPM: I Voted for Deputies Who Will Solve People's Real Problems
In Sunday's elections, caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev voted "for deputies who will understand and solve the real problems of the people, deputies who will express and protect the interests of Bulgarian citizens rather than their own." Speaking to journalists in a voting section housed in a Sofia school, Donev said the members of Parliament should serve as models for good manners, openness and tolerance. He expressed hope that voter turnout will be high.
Elections in Bulgaria are fair, but should not be too frequent, according to the Prime Minister. "Getting into a spiral of elections is not good for any Bulgarian citizen," he said. He pointed to the need for a stable majority in the National Assembly and a regular government to tackle the real problems facing Bulgarians.
