Young French volunteer Oriane Giros presented on Friday in the Black Sea city of Varna her new guidebook called "Starting Point: Varna" which provides information and valuable travelling tips about more than ten locations in Bulgaria.
The locations presented in the 50-page book with photos by the author include Rousse, Plovdiv, Sofia and smaller towns in Varna Region. The author offers valuable tips about travelling to the locations with Varna as the starting point.
The guidebook is intended to serve foreigners who visit Varna and want to travel around Bulgaria from there. The electronic version of the book is available at no charge with a QR code.
Giros is from Nantes and in the past year worked as volunteer as part of a project of the European Solidarity Corps in Bulgaria.
The young author says that what most impressed her in Bulgaria is how people observe the old traditions. Giros notes that Bulgaria has captivating folk legends and interesting superstitions.
