An art event entitled Moliere Without Borders & In Dialogue with Moliere will be officially unveiled in Sofia on March 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The event is dedicated to Moliere's 400th birth anniversary as well as the marking of International Francophonie Day, March 20, and of 30 years since Bulgaria becoming a member country of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
The event includes the presentation of the art collection Moliere Without Borders, which features 35 posters of theatre plays based on Moliere’s works. They are already exhibited in the central lobby of the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, where they will remain on display until March 30.
The official opening of the exhibition on March 22 will include the reading of excerpts from Moliere’s plays in French and in Bulgarian by university and school students and by lecturers.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the International Triennial of Stage Poster – Sofia, the national office of The Francophone University Agency in Bulgaria, and Sofia University’s Francophonie Centre.
