site.btaBulgarian Portal for Open Science BPOS Certified with CoreTrustSeal as Trustworthy Data Repository

The Bulgarian portal for open science BPOS has been certified as a trustworthy data repository by the  CoreTrustSeal certification organization of the World Data System of the International Science Council (WDS) and the Data Seal of Approval (DSA), the Bulgarian Education and Science Ministry said. Set up by the Education and Science Ministry, the portal is maintained and updated by the National Centre for Information and Documentation.

Worldwide, less than 200 data repositories have CoreTrustSeal certification. The requirements for obtaining the certification include use of reliable hardware and software solutions, protection of the data, products, services, and users, and ensuring the integrity and authenticity of research resources. 

As the name suggests, the Bulgarian portal for open science is with open access. It currently has more than 27,000 research publications. The portal can be accessed at https://bpos.bg.
