A space exhibition will be on display on April 9 and 10 at the National Museum of Military History in Sofia, the Museum said. Visitors will have the chance to taste space food and participate in space workshops.

An installation will give children the opportunity to see what it is like to be an astronaut, trying on spacesuits and learning about the planets in the Solar System.

Scientists from the Institute of Cryobiology and Food Technology will explain how space food is made and how space exploration opens opportunities for flights to Mars. Thirty of the greatest admirers of space adventures will be able to try lyophilized food (freeze-dried food).

A photo exhibition will present Bulgaria’s contribution in space exploration over the years,  giving visitors the chance of finding out more about the work of the two famous Bulgarian astronauts – Georgi Ivanov and Alexander Alexandrov.
