A Bulgarian jazz trio will stage a concert at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin on April 14. Veleka Tsankova, Ivan Jordanov and Stanislav Arabadjiev, three of the most talented young musicians on the Bulgarian jazz stage, will take the audience from New Orleans to the golden years of jazz in New York and the sunrise in Rio de Janeiro.

Veleka Tsankova graduated pop and jazz singing in the National Musical Academy (NMA) in Sofia. Her interest in jazz music has got her involved in numerous musical projects, a big part of them led by the Bulgarian jazz trumpetist Mihail Yossifov, with whom Tsankova works on original music pieces.

Ivan Jordanov studied saxophone in NMA. In his his teenage years he and friends of his formed the group Soulbmoll, which gives concerts to this day and has released two albums with original music.

Stanislav Arabadjiev graduated piano in NMA. Due to his interest in jazz music, he met musicians from all over the world playing with them in various projects and forums. Apart from being a performer, he teaches at the National Musical School in Sofia. 

The jazz trio will perform pieces from the repertoire of performers such as Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Eddie Gorme, Joao Gilberto, and others. The music program is entirely dedicated to vocal jazz.
