An interactive culinary map presents culinary traditions on the Bulgarian language territory. It was compiled by the Department of Bulgarian Dialectology and Linguistic Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and covers locations where Bulgarian dialects are spoken, both in Bulgaria and abroad.

The interactive culinary map of the Bulgarian language territory provides linguistic and ethnographic information about traditional recipes, audio and video recordings with cooking instructions, as well as a photo gallery illustrating Bulgarian culinary culture as a part of national identity

The map is available in Bulgarian and in English.

The team, headed by Prof. Ana Kocheva, collects authentic materials during their field expeditions.

They recently carried out such an expedition to Bosilegrad, Southeastern Serbia, in an area popularly known in Bulgaria as the Western Outlands. The visit was paid at the invitation of Aleksandar Dimitrov, head of the local GLAS (Group of Liberal, Ambitious and Solidary) Association.
