site.btaOriginal Edgar Degas Drawings to Be Exhibited in Velingrad

An exhibition featuring original Edgar Degas drawings will open at the City Art Gallery in Velingrad spa resort, the municipal administration said.

The 34 exhibits from a private French collection include the full series from the artist’s portfolio with etchings made from the monotypes he planned for his friend Ludovic Halevy’s book in 1877-1878.

The exhibition is organized by the Velingrad Museum of History together with the Latvian Art Expo Sia company under the auscpices of Velingrad Municipality Mayor Kostadin Koev.

The exhibition will remain open to visitor until July 23.
