World-famous Bulgarian violinist Vesko Eschkenazy will stage a big concert in Hall 1 of Sofia's National Palace of Culture (NDK) on April 16. Eschkenazy told BTA that this will be a concert awaited for over two years.
The violinist said that the pandemic has been very difficult for musicians because it meant many cancelled tours and performances. "I am happy that we're now able to perform in full concert halls," he said. Eschkenazy said he has many surprises in stock for his anniversary concert in Sofia. He will perform on his favourite violin made back in 1742.
On Friday evening, Eschkenazy and the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra performed in the northern city of Pleven concerts, including Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Astor Piazzolla's eponymous work. 'It was a wonderful evening and the concert hall was full," he said.
The violinist praised the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra, who will also accompany him during his upcoming concert in the capital.
