site.btaNew TV Series about Wine, Human Relationships in Shooting
The shooting of a new series started today in the sunny region of Melnik (in the southwest). It will tell stories about wine and human relationships, and feature some of Bulgaria’s most beloved actors, including Vladimir Zombori, Elena Telbis, Gerasim Georgiev - Gero, Kristina Veroslavova, Mihail Bilalov, Paraskeva Djukelova, Dimitar Selenski, Daria Mitusheva and many others. The authors have chosen the Villa Melnik winery as its main filming location.
This is a wonderful place in a wonderful region, and it offers unique conditions for the development of this business, director Victor Bojinov said at a press conference.
The story itself revolves around a young man returning from abroad with the idea that this return will be short-lived. However, the local winery surprises him with intriguing acquaintances and new emotions.
The story also tells about the discovery of the world of wine, about the discovery and evaluation of the nuances, the differences, both in wine and in life. The plot unfolds against the background of the beautiful vistas of the Melnik region, akin to the picturesque sights of southern France, Italy, and Spain, said for BTA producer Nadezhda Tsvetkova.
The place is beautiful, as if it was made for a movie, the owner of Villa Melnik, Lyubka Zikatanova, told a BTA reporter. In the coming weeks, this winery will be transformed into a film set. The location was chosen for the aura that the region has, its wine history, natural resources and various landmarks, said Zikatanova.
According to her, the Melnik region deserves attention because of the clean food, nice hotels and beautiful views. The film's crew also hopes the production will spark interest and make the sunny region popular as a tourist destination.
The series is a production of the Bulgarian National Television and has the working title "Wines". It is expected to release in October.
