site.btaNational Library Opens Pakistani Book Corner

A corner with books provided by the Pakistani National Library will open at the National Library in Sofia. The opening event is on Thursday, led by National Library Director Krassimira Aleksandrova and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bulgaria, Mariam Madiha Aftab, the Library said Wednesday.  

The Pakistani corner will be located on the second floor of the library. Placing books from foreign countries there is among the new initiatives of the Library in support of bilateral relations with foreign national libraries. The Pakistani corner is the fifth after those of Slovenia (set up in 2021), Nigeria (2021), Azerbaijan (2021) and Slovakia (2022).
