President Rumen Radev wished Bulgarians health, fortitude and faith in peace, justice and solidarity on the occasion of the Christian feasts celebrated on this day, the Press Secretariat of the head of State said on Sunday. On the occasion of the Orthodox Palm Sunday and the Christian feast of the Resurrection of Christ, celebrated by the catholic and Armenian communities on April 17, the President wished all Bulgarians health, fortitude and faith in turning the word of Christ for peace and love between men into deeds, and for justice and solidarity.
The President called for mercy and empathy to those in need.
Easter is a glorious victory of life over death, of light over darkness and truth over injustice, the address to the Catholic and Armenian communities says. On this day, Orthodox Bulgarians celebrate a bright feast in the Christian calendar, the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem. Palm Sunday is also celebrated by thousands of Protestant Bulgarians.
