Days of Ukrainian cinema open on Monday in Sofia, part of the global cinema marathon in support of Ukraine, CinemAid Ukraine Charity Film Marathon, the Sofia City Hall said. 

The film screenings are hosted by municipal culture centres: Iskur and Nadezhda. The films are with Bulgarian subtitles. 

The Sofia edition of the global film marathon is co-organized by the City Hall, the Embassy of Ukraine and the umbrella association of Ukrainian organizations in Bulgaria, Mati [Mother] Ukraine

Admission is free but cinema goers are invited to make cash donations in boxes at the entrance of the venues. The collected money will be donated to Mati Ukraine to go towards purchase of various items such as SD cards and chargers for the team of  the Yellow Bus initiative who travels around Ukraine to document the ongoing hostilities.

The film marathon continues until April 20.
