site.btaFifth International Festival "Hello, Armenia" Kicks Off

The fifth international festival "Hello, Armenia" will open on Monday with an exhibition titled "Ararat: The Soul of Armenia", the Plovdiv Town Hall said. The author is British photographer Raffi Youredjian.

The photos will be displayed in Rayko Daskalov street outside the offices of the Bulgarian National Bank.

Raffi Youredjian is an adventurer, writer, and photographer who has traveled to every continent. He worked for Discovery Channel based in London where he is a member of the Royal Geographical Society. His photos have been exhibited in London, Barcelona, Bucharest, Sofia, Plovdiv, Yerevan, Etchmiadzin, and the UN in Brussels. He has also been published recently with his collection of photos of Armenian churches the book Destruction of Monuments in Eastern Christianity.

Most recently he worked with the Bulgarian Embassy in Armenia as part of Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019 to do a series of photos that were exhibited at Yerevan State University and more recently in Plovdiv’s sister city Gyumri.

He relocated to Armenia in 2018 and now resides in Yerevan.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the Municipality of Plovdiv.
