site.btaAstronomy Day to Be Celebrated at Sofia University Astronomical Observatory

To mark the spring edition of the International Astronomy Day, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski’s Faculty of Physics will organize their traditional open-door programme at the university's astronomical observatory in Sofia's Borisova Gradina park on Saturday, the university reported. The programme includes sci-fi talks, science demonstrations, and an exhibition.

In case of clear skies, guests of the event will be able to observe space through a telescope. The attendees can talk to Bulgarian scientists about their work and its significance to the public. The building of the observatory itself is a place of interest, as it is a cultural heritage monument.

The event is a part of the Astronomy Day at Sofia Observatory 2022 project.
