Jakub Kuszlik, who won fourth prize at the 18th Chopin Competition and The Polish Radio Prize for best performance of mazurkas, will give a piano recital in Sofia on May 11, the organizers of the Polish Institute said.

Works by Paderewski and Chopin are on the programme.

The record of success of the 23-year-old performer also includes the semi-finals of the Beethoven Competition in Bonn, second prize at the International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, second prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition in New York, 2019, and third prize at the Top of the World International Piano Competition in Tromso, Norway, June 2019.

Concert tours have taken Kuszlik to the US, Japan, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, Greece, Norway and Iceland.
