site.btaBulgarian Ambassador to Tokyo Meets with Japanese Students of Bulgarian

Bulgaria Ambassador to Japan Marieta Arabadzhieva visited the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and met with University Rector Kayoko Hayashi. The meeting was attended by Japanese students of Bulgarian and their teacher Makoto Kimura, it emerged from a post of the Bulgarian Embassy. 

Ways to advance ties were discussed including students' participation in initiatives of the Embassy. The Bulgarian side suggested holding a quiz through which they demonstrate their knowledge about Bulgaria and a public speaking competition in Bulgarian.

Courses in the Bulgarian language are held at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and at the universities at Soka, Osaka, Kobe and Hokkaido. Some are supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and Education and posting a lecturer in Bulgarian in the Kansai Region.
