The education authorities in Norway have included Bulgarian language as an elective in the high school curricula, the Bulgarian Embassy in Oslo said. At this stage it won't be taught in schools but students can take a proficiency test and the result will be entered in their diploma.

Students will have to prepare for the tests on their own.

Tests will be taken for three proficiency levels: A1, A2 and B1.

The first tests will take place in May 2023 and registration for them will be between January 15 and February 1.
