On the eve of its 144th anniversary the Sts Cyril and Methodius National Library gathered its employees, colleagues, partners and beneficiaries to formally mark the day. A unique exhibition of manuscripts from the Adjar school.
The National Library continues to enjoy a growing reader interest: its reading halls are is visited by over 20,000 readers and there are over 80,000 readers online, which makes 350-400 readers daily, National Library head Krassimira Alexandrova said in her remarks at the event. The library is implementing more initiatives with added value: landmark exhibitions of books and documents from the library stock, including online exhibitions, travelling seminars, talks, book launches, and book spaces together with foreign embassies here (by the year's end they will number 15).
In her words, the library continued to develop sustainably in 2022.
On the occasion of the anniversary addresses were sent by the President and Vice President, the Culture Minister, the rectors of a number of universities, BTA's Director General among others.
