site.btaBOND String Quartet to Stage Concert in Sofia in May 2023

British string quarter BOND will stage a concert in Sofia on May 17, 2023. The event will take place at Joy Station, the organizers from Sofia Music Enterprises said. 

The electric string quarter were last in Bulgaria in March 2019, when they gave a concert in Sofia and in Plovdiv (South Central Bulgaria).

Tickets for the concert will be available online, at Joy Station and at Fantastico supermarkets.

Since their debut album Born (2000), BOND have changed the world of classical crossover music, achieving 56 platinum and 15 gold discs. BOND have sold over 4 million albums worldwide, making them the best-selling string quartet of all time.

Tania Davis (violin), Eos Counsell (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola), and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello) all hold a music degree, obtained from  Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall and Trinity College of Music. Soon after their stage debut in London's Royal Albert Hall, they became known in the press as the Spice Girls of classical music. 

They have since performed with stars such as Luciano Pavarotti, Nigel Kennedy, Nick Mayson, and Andre Rieu. BOND's music has featured in movies, including Johnny English and XXX State Of The Union, and in many sporting events, including the Football World Cup and the Olympics.
