site.btaMore than BGN 4 Million Provided for Six National Programmes in Education

At its regular weekly meeting on Wednesday, the caretaker cabinet adopted a decision providing BGN 4,250,353 to six national programmes in pre-school and school education. 

BGN 1,820,801 go to the programme Innovations in Action to promote and multiply good innovations and to provide technical means and devices for innovative teaching methods. The money will be distributed among nearly 600 schools nationwide. 

BGN 1,487,29 go to a programme called Together in Arts and Sports under which schools will be supported to form extra-curricular classes for music, dance, and acting, and also sports teams. 

BGN 348,949 are provided to the programme for teaching IT skills so as to provide conditions for software vocational teaching and learning in cooperation with universities and employers in the IT sector. 

BGN 228,706 are approved for a programme called Business Teaches to finance seminars of business representatives for teachers and students on key topics in the respective area, in compliance with approved teaching programmes. 

BGN 199,321 are provided for a programme for on-the-spot replacement of absent teachers in pre-school and school education. 

BGN 165,367 are approved for the programme for vocational education and teaching. Eight schools will receive funding to upgrade their facilities, teaching plans and programmes, and examination programmes in the respective vocations.
