site.bta"White Silence" Closes Year at Varna's Largo Art Gallery
An exhibition dubbed White Silence is the year's closing event at the Largo Art Gallery in the Black Sea city of Varna, which will be held between December 15 and January 17. The Christmas-themed group show presents over 130 works by 50 artists from across Bulgaria with whom the gallery has been working since its establishment. The exhibits include paintings, sculptures, graphics and drawings.
Some of them were specially created for the occasion, Largo Founder and Director Neli Valcheva told BTA. Examples are Valeri Tsenov's painting which has lent its name to the exhibition and paintings by Suli Seferov and Yuli Shumarev, which also carry the spirit of the holidays and the winter.
Paintings by Eva Dimitrova and Tsvetelina Stefanova, sculptures by Milena Bochukova and Dimitar Borissov, and ceramics by Kunka Dimitrova are displayed at this venue for the first time.
Visitors can see abstract works, surrealistic compositions, classic-style still life, interpretations of female beauty, landscapes and portraits in naive style.
