Bulgarian writer and journalist Iliyan Kuzmanov has topped English Talk Radio's ranking of the most popular book in the UK, the author announced. He commented that almost 10,000 people voted for his book The Devil, I Know Him, leaving behind writers like Stephen King, John Grisham, and US Vice President Mike Pence.

This is the second book by the author who has already appeared in the Top 20 on Amazon with his novel If You Meet Buddha Kill Him.

The Devil, I Know Him is a provocative novel in the tradition of Goethe, Dante and Bulgakov, which tells through the techniques of magical realism what freedom means. It portrays the darkest sides of totalitarian societies.

It was also the New York Weekly's Book of the Month for September, Kuzmanov said.
