The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices will stage a Christmas concert on December 23 an the City Mark Art Centre in Sofia, the team of the world-famous Bulgarian female vocal choir announced on Monday.

The ensemble will delight the audience with works created by Georgi Andreev, Dobrinka Tabakova and Lyubomir Denev, and inspired by the bright Christian holidays coming ahead. The concert will also be broadcast online.

Composer Georgi Andreev has prepared a new arrangement of a work from their repertoire especially for the choir, adding to the voices of the folk singers the sound of the Quarto Quartet.

The guest musicians Ivan Penchev, Svetlana Stancheva, Tatiana Todorova and Dimitar Tenchev from Quarto Quartet will perform pieces in the spirit of the upcoming Christmas holidays.

An anonymous piece from the 14th century entitled "Troparion for the Nativity of Christ" will also be performed, as well as compositions by Ivan Valev, Tsenko Minkin, Stefan Mutafchiev, Hristo Todorov and Kiril Stefanov.
