site.bta17th "Days of Challenges" Fest to Screen over 10 Documentaries for First Time

Some ten documentaries will be screened for the first time in Bulgaria within the 17th edition of the "Days of Challenges" fest, scheduled for February 1 and 2 at Lumiere Cinema.

The program of the festival will take viewers to destinations in Bulgaria, as well as in the Alps, Hindu Kush, the Himalayas, the Andes, Yellowstone and elsewhere, the organizers said.

Chamonix guide Guillaume Pierrel, who has also known as winning trophies as a runner and cross-country skier to summiting and skiing some of the highest mountains in the world, will be a guest at the fest. He will present a film about his premier skiing down the Gasherbrum II (8,035 m) in Karakoram, Pakistan, and his latest achievement, down the north wall of the Grandes Jorasses mountain in the Mont Blanc massif.

Subjects of the Bulgarian outdoor scene, Bulgarian nature, chalets, mountain marking, etc. will be discussed at the festival. For the first time, the organizers are issuing an open invitation to all those who want to tell their story from the stage of the forum, with applications for participation being submitted until December 30.
