site.btaMinister Minekov Visits Veterans of Culture and Arts Home, Extends Season’s Greetings

Culture Minister Velislav Minekov Friday visited the Home for Veterans of Culture and Art in Sofia and wished its residents all the best for Christmas and New Year, the Culture Ministry said.

Minekov also toured an exhibition by cartoonist Margarita Yancheva, a contributor to satirical newspaper Sturshel for years. The exhibition project, implemented with the support of Culture national Fund under the Artistic Grants programme, includes some 30 pieces which will be on display until January 14. 

The Home for Veterans of Culture and Art is located in Sofia’s Zaharna Fabrika neighbourhood. It is the only one of its kind in the country, established with the Ministry of Culture by an order dating from 1955.
