An exhibition entitled "The Bulgarians in Romania" will be unveiled on January 24 at the National Ethnographic Museum in Sofia, the organizers said. It will present Bulgarian cultural heritage through exhibits such as old photographs, postcards, and traditional clothing of the Bulgarians in Cioplea, Bucharest.
The exhibition is part of the events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the idea of Falmis - Uvec falim. This is a traditional greeting of the Banat Bulgarians, derived from the Catholic greeting Laudetur Jesus Christus (Praised be Jesus Christ) and the response Semper laudetur (Always be praised).
The Falmis ensemble will perform two dances of the Banat Bulgarians at the exhibition opening.
The event is organized with the financial support of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
