Angel Zaberski Jr. is guest conductor of the first concert of the year of the Big Band of Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) on January 19 in Studio One.

The Big Band will play the conductor's pieces Anti Jazz, Shokolad Train, Brazzy People, Love and Passion, Nature Boy and others written especially for it.

Trumpeter Mihail Yossifov, with whom Zaberski works often, and clarinetist Borislav Yotzov will be guest soloists.

Angel Zaberski Jr. is a "composer who combines tradition with a sense of evolution, building on what he creates every day - juggling live performances and contact with musicians and audiences, teaching and mentoring, writing music for symphony orchestras, big bands, brass ensembles and pop and jazz singers. He has also made significant contributions to film, classical and even folk music. His discography as a musician and composer is vast and continuous," BNR says.

He has composed and recorded two big band albums, four trio albums, as well as brass and octet albums.

Angel Zaberski Jr. has collaborated with popular Bulgarian singers Camellia Todorova, Hilda Kazasyan, Vasil Petrov and Sentimental Swingers.
