Bulgarian painter Vladko Balev is staging a one-artist exhibition in Sofia called Timelessness, featuring abstract works which he created over the last two years. The show can be seen at the Serdica Art Gallery from January 17 until February 17, the organizers said.

The gallery says: "Balev's monolithic compositions of forms, lines and chromatic harmonies indicate an artistic rebellion at a time of fading values, ideals and aspirations."

Balev says in a comment: "I am an artist provoked by timelessness".

Vladko Balev was born in Sofia in 1978. He worked at Dimo Balev's studio. Since 2011, he has presented six one-artist exhibitions, the latest of which, No Title, was held at the Serdica Art Gallery.
