A record number of people, 450, took part in the traditional Grand Horo of Brussels. The event took place for the tenth year and it is its 30th edition, organized by representatives of the Bulgarian community in Brussels. The event took place at the Woluwe-Saint-Pierre Municipality cultural centre.

“The first Grand Horo took place in 2012,: Maria Tzvetkova of the organizers told BTA. The last edition took place in 2019 before the COVID pandemic.

A dance show preceding the horo showcased the various Bulgarian folklore regions and traditions.

The Bulgapeya choir of Brussels also took part.

A special guest this year was the Zora ensemble from Paris.

"This is the first time we have been participating in the Grand Horo of Brussels. We thank all these people, who come to dance, to enjoy themselves and share in the Bulgarian emotions and dances,” said Tvsetomir Tzvetanov, Zora’s artistic director.

The previous record was 414 participants in the horo dance.

There was a stand offering Bulgarians dishes.
