site.btaInvestment Funds Operating in Bulgaria Increase Their Assets by 50%, Year-on-Year

The assets managed by resident and non-resident investment funds operating in Bulgaria totalled 8.839 billion leva as of end-December 2021, the Bulgarian National Bank reported on Monday.

These assets increased by nearly 3 billion leva (50.2 per cent) year-on-year (from 5.887 billion leva), and by over 1 billion leva (13.7 per cent) compared to September 2021.

As a percentage of GDP, resident and non-resident investment funds assets amounted to 6.7 per cent as of end-December 2021, compared to 4.9 per cent of GDP year-on-year.
