Sofia, February 28 (BTA) - Bulgaria's general business climate index in February 2022 grew by 1.4 points compared with January 2022, the National Statistical Institute reported on Monday. Among the index components, increases were registered in industry, retail trade and the services sector, and a decrease was recorded in construction.

The index component describing the business climate in industry rose by 2.7 points in February 2022 compared with January 2022 as a result of industrial entrepreneurs' optimistic assessments and expectations about the business conditions of their enterprises.

The index component describing the business climate in construction dropped by 0.6 points due to construction entrepreneurs' negative expectations about the condition of their enterprises in the next six months.

The index component describing the business climate in retail trade went up by 1.3 points as a result of retailers' more optimistic expectations about the condition of their enterprises in the next six months.

The index component describing the business climate in the services sector rose by 1.1 points as a result of entrepreneurs' more optimistic expectations about the condition of their enterprises in the next six months.
