site.btaDirect Air Services between Varna and Nantes, Lille to Be Launched in 2022

Direct flights from and to Varna (on the Black Sea) and the French cities of Nantes and Lille will be launched in 2022, the concessionaire of Varna Airport, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, reported here on Wednesday.

The flights will be operated by Volotea Airlines. The company will fly to and from Varna once a week during the whole summer season: Varna-Nantes (from May 3 until October 25) and Varna-Lille (from May 17 until October 4).

In 2021, Varna Airport worked with 50 airlines which flew 9,239 flights to 67 destinations. The airports in the Black Sea cities of Varna and Bourgas serviced nearly 2 million passengers on 17,000 flights, both charter and regular, to more than 96 destinations in Europe, the Near East and North Africa, the concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD added.
