site.btaBurgas Airport Reports Dramatic Increase of Passengers in February, 60% Were on Flights to and from Moscow

The airport in the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas reported a dramatic increase in passengers in February. The increase was by 378 per cent from this time last year, or 3,855 passengers more. 60 per cent of all passengers flew to and from Moscow.

Traditionally, February is an off-peak month for the airport, which is normally the second busiest in Bulgaria after Sofia Airport during the summer.

The airport offers twice weekly flights to Skopje and Tirana via Sofia (since March). In April, there will be new services to six European destinationsL Bubapest, Vienna, London/Luton, Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk.
