site.btaParliament Votes Down GERB’s Proposal for Full Electricity Bill Compensation of Medical, Social, Education and Religious Establishments
Parliament voted down a draft decision tabled by the opposition GERB-UDF for compensating educational, medical, social and religious establishments for their electricity bills to the full amount of the difference between the electricity price projected by the energy regulator and the price on the day-ahead segment of the free energy market.
The draft decision was backed by 86 MPs but 105 abstained and eight voted against it.
In favour of the full compensation were GERB-UDF, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and Vazrazhdane.
