The Bulgarian authorities have started round-the-clock checks of grain export, said the Revenue Agency. The aim is to make sure all requirements for community deliveries are observed and the trucks are not overloaded.
Participating in the checks are the Revenue Agency, the Customs Agency and the Automobile Administration. They are checking all vehicles that leave the country and carry wheat, barley, maize, rice and rye for the EU countries.
In less than a week the fiscal inspectors have checked more than 520 trucks carrying close to 14,000 t of grain.
