site.btaPM Petkov: Government to Work on Easter Support Package for Most Needy People

Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said on Wednesday that he is assigning the ministers of finance and of labour and social policy with the task of preparing a support package for the neediest people to offset the higher food prices due to the war in Ukraine. The package is to be called Easter Support, Petkov said, who spoke before the regular weekly meeting of the government. 

The package is expected to be ready next week. 

Petkov also said that the government is extending the 60/40 job retention scheme introduced in the coronavirus epidemic until the end of June, no matter that the coronavirus emergency situation ends on April 1. Thus, the support to the business will continue for three more months.
